At the moment, our coding team has only two student member, his name is Chris Pearce. In competitions, coders are important because during the first fifteen seconds of the match the robots need to function without any human control. So our coders develop instructions for the robot to do in the fifteen seconds so that it can score us points. In addition to that, they help develop the robot’s functions.
Chris has been practicing code for about 5 years and is a senior as of this year. He has proven to be an invaluable part of our team time and time again for coding and planning. Currently he is starting to be involved more with our new recruits and is now training one of our newer members Oliver Gonzales, in the art of coding.
